The Josh Ranch
The Josh Ranch is a 110 acre paradise nestled in the middle of the White Mountains. In 1917 Norman Josh came to the Alpine area and homesteaded this area for his personal ranch. We are located in the middle of the Apache National Forest, 15 miles south of Alpine on Hwy 191 between mile marker 238 and 239. Many people think Arizona is noted for its heat, desert and golf courses, however the elevation of the Josh Ranch is approximately 8200 feet, so our temperatures rarely rise above 85 degrees in the day and 50 degrees in the evening.
We acquired the ranch in February of 2012 and have developed it into a guest ranch that offers lodging, horse boarding and hunting activities. We are one of the few places on the mountain that have good cell service and wifi. If you are looking for place to hike, horseback ride, view wildlife or the many species of birds in Arizona, The Josh Ranch is the place for you.
Our family enjoys the The Josh Ranch as or home away from home, and we hope you will too.
Our welcome sign is always out!
